Youth Development Project

As an organisation, we’ve been working with young people in the Meanwood area for over 15 years. The pandemic’s made us take a step back, take a look at what’s been good and what we want to do differently going forward.
We’ve been talking to young people and to other organisations in the area and our “what next” is a partnership project, yet to be named, working with young people to develop a youth volunteer programme with a building dedicated to their use. It’s been inspired by C.A.T.C.H in Harehills and by young people in our area that have been impacted by the way they work. We’re grateful to have them on board as a consultant partner. Our principle partner is Thrive Leeds, who are based in Chapel Allerton, and our associate partner is Carr Manor Community School.

2022 will see youth-led events for young people and for the community, as well as some fundraising and hopefully the placement of a modular building on site at Stainbeck Church. We’re so excited to see how this new project unfolds.
