Meanwood and Chapel Allerton
Welcome to InterACT

A Church and Community Partnership

Why do we exist?
Our local area in Meanwood and Chapel Allerton is fantastically diverse, with residents, workers and visitors from many different social, economic and cultural backgrounds. This can sometimes mean its different neighbourhoods feel a million miles apart. We seek a more united community, with strong relationships and personal and communal wellbeing at its core.
What do we do?
We create opportunities for people in and around the area to come together, through a wide variety of activities. As we get to know one another better, we become more able to overcome prejudices and work together for the good of the whole community. We also seek to help individuals develop skills, confidence and wholeness, all of which strengthens our community and makes life better. For example, we support volunteering, provide support and advice to those in need, and encourage people to try new things.
Who are we?
InterACT is a registered charity (number 1171402). We are formed from a partnership of churches in north east Leeds: Holy Trinity, Meanwood; Meanwood Valley Baptist; Stainbeck United Reformed; and St. Matthew’s, Chapel Allerton. We are also partnered with Leeds South and West Methodist Circuit.
